Frequently Asked Questions

  • When will I receive my tickets? Your tickets will be sent to you by email, please print it or show it on your phone screen at the gate
  • Where do I park? In the meadow, which is accessed from our main drive, off Cow Lane. It is a short walk from there through the woods to the Hotel grounds. Please note that parking is at your risk and Pendley Manor cannot accept any responsibility for your vehicle or it’s contents.
  • Is there disabled parking available? Yes, if you show your blue badge to the parking attendant as you drive in, you’ll be directed to a designated disabled parking area If you are staying at the Hotel or dining in the restaurant, please park in the main Hotel car park.
  • Do we bring our own seats? No, there is allocated seating. Each ticket will have a row and a number, just as in a conventional theatre. For your added comfort, you may want to bring a cushion and blanket – in any event do bring warm clothing, it can become chilly as the evening wears on.
  • When does the play start? Each play starts at 8.00pm. The grounds are open from 6.00pm for picnics, the auditorium opens at 7.40pm. The audience can take their seats from then.
  • What happens if it rains? The play will still go on. If the rain becomes so heavy that it is difficult to hear the actors or gives rise to safety concerns there may be a pause in the performance until the worst of the rain passes over, then the play will resume. In the unlikely event that the performance has to be cancelled or abandoned PLEASE BE AWARE THAT REFUNDS CAN NOT BE MADE IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCES (However only two performances have had to be cancelled in the long history of the festival!).
  • What time do the plays end? It’s not possible at this stage to give exact timings for the ending of the plays, but as a rule they finish between 10:30pm and 11pm.
  • I’ve lost my tickets. Is there anything I can do? Yes. Come to the outside box office from 7.00pm onwards on the day of the performance and give your name to the staff there. They will confirm your booking and give you replacement tickets.
  • Can we use the Hotel facilities? Yes, you’re welcome. Our restaurant offers a pre theatre dinner on performance evenings. Please note however that the restaurant is often fully booked so booking in advance is a must. You are welcome to make use of the bar – and there is also a refreshment tent in the grounds. The picnic tables around the Hotel are generally reserved for Hotel guests.
  • Can we consume our own food and drink in the Hotel lounge if it is raining? No - we cannot permit this in any circumstances….. sorry!
  • Are there toilet facilities? Yes – in the grounds near the refreshment tent. Those with disabilities or mobility difficulties are welcome to use the facilities on the ground floor of the Manor.
